Parmi les présentations de l’E3 il y a eu l’impressionnant, tout au moins visuellement, Metro Exodus. Suite de Metro – Last Light qui sera donc un nouveau pur FPS dans lequel on pourra cette fois explorer de nombreuses régions d’une Russie en ruines suite à une guerre nuéclaire.
Fini les tunnels du précédent jeu, on voyagera cette fois grâce à un train nommé l’Aurora, et qui traversera le continent, d’ouest en est à priori. Chaque arrêt de cette expédition amènera le joueur dans de très vastes zones de jeu où il faudra affronter aussi bien des créatures mutantes que des habituels pillards. Ce long voyage sera de plus étalé sur une année, faisant que différente zones seront à explorer dans différentes saisons. La gestion des ressources et la personnalisation des armes seront aussi deux éléments importants à prendre en compte lors des missions.
Toutefois, si chaque zone pourra être exploré assez librement, le jeu n’est pas vraiment un Open world, car il ne sera pas possible de revenir en arrière. Autrement dit, chaque région sera en quelque sorte un mini monde ouvert, avec un scénario spécifique mais aussi beaucoup de liberté dans l’exploration.
Prévu initialement pour l’automne 2018, la sortie de Metro Exodus est maintenant prévue le 22 février 2019, et si tout va bien le jeu devrait s’avérer une belle surprise dans son genre.
